The Genre of my Trailer Defined

My chosen genre is horror.

Horror is a film genre seeking to elicit a negative emotional reaction from viewers by playing on the audience's primal fears. The dead and the supernatural are frequent themes and they may overlap with the fantasy, supernatural, and thriller genres.

There are different sub-genres within the horror genre these include:
Action Horror- combines the intrusion of an evil force, event, or personage of horror movies with the gunfights and frenetic chases of the action genre. Themes or elements often prevalent in typical action-horror films include gore, demons, vicious animals, vampires and, most commonly, zombies.
Organic Horror- is horror fiction in which the horror is principally derived from the graphic destruction or degeneration of the body. Such works may deal with decay, disease, parasitism, mutation, or mutilation.
Horror Comedy- combines elements of comedy and horror fiction. Horror comedy has been described as able to be categorized under three types: "black comedy, parody and spoof." The genre almost inevitably crosses over with the black comedy genre.
Natural Horror- features nature running amok in the form of mutated beasts, carnivorous insects, and normally harmless animals turned into cold-blooded killers.
Gothic Horror- combines fiction and horror, death, and at times romance.
Science Fiction Horror- often revolves around subjects that include alien invasions, mad scientists, and/or experiments gone wrong.
Psychological Horror- relies on the character's mental and emotional instability to frighten viewers.
Slasher Film- often revolves around a psychopathic killer stalking and killing a sequence of victims in a graphically violent manner, mainly with a cutting tool such as a knife or axe. Slasher films may at times overlap with the crime, mystery and thriller genre.
Zombie Film- feature creatures that are usually portrayed as either reanimated corpses or mindless human beings. Distinct sub-genres have evolved, such as the "zombie comedy (zomcom)" or the "zombie apocalypse".

Splatter Film- focuses on graphic portrayals of gore and graphic violence. Through the use of special effects and excessive blood and guts, they tend to display an overt interest in the vulnerability of the human body.
